Ok, seriously WTF. How the heck did this woman drive into the tunnel without the Muni operators even noticing? I mean fine, this has happened before, but that was at 2AM. This was in broad daylight. She’d have to drive right next to the operator box to get into the tunnel. But this morning, when I was forced off my Muni train, and I asked the woman working there what was going on, I was just given a “I don’t know.”
Um, yeah. That caused a pretty annoying detour as we had to get on the shuttle buses (I took the second one, first one was packed) which only stopped at Van Ness, where the tunnel was operating properly. People were speculating about someone jumping onto the tracks or fleeing the Muni police because they didn’t have a ticket.
