Invisible Mode

Filed under: Uncategorized — dracil @ 6:23 pm

This morning I got IMed by someone who was in invisible mode, and I think I realized why I dislike it when people stay in that mode all the time.

It is, at its core, a selfish, freerider behavior.

Why should you be the only one who can talk to others, but other people do not have the right to talk to you?  What makes you so special?  For one person’s convenience, everyone else is inconvenienced.  Also, if everyone else thinks like that, well, nobody can talk to anyone.  Because everyone is now invisible and unreachable.

It is especially annoying if said person is also a self-described extrovert.
